F&M Middle East Awarded A’Thuraya City Tender During Oman Design & Build Week 2025
F&M Middle East had the privilege of participating in Oman Design & Build Week 2025, held from 19 to 21 May. The Real Estate Conference brought together some of the region’s most influential voices in the built environment and was marked by rich exchanges, strategic dialogues, and a collaborative atmosphere that inspired all who took part. It was a true celebration of ideas, innovation, and meaningful connections.
In this vibrant setting, we were honoured to be awarded the tender for Engineering Consultancy Services for supervision of the construction of infrastructure works of the landmark A’Thuraya City development — a transformative project with an investment value exceeding 100 million OMR. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr Khalfan bin Saeed bin Mubarak al-Shueili - Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, H.E. Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al Yousef - Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, our CEO & Managing Partner, Hazem Abdul Karim, and COO for F&M Middle East, Jean-Pierre Jelwan. Thanks to our dedicated team: Ahmed Al Raisi – Project Manager for A’Thuraya, Chris Bloodworth – Head of Infrastructure, Filippo Trevisan – Head of MEP, and Hiba Al Maskari – Project Coordinator. Additionally, thanks to Ahmed Rehan Usmani - Head of Supervision; Natasha Yarvas – Head of Bid Proposal; Rua'a Al Zadjali – Senior Technical and Proposal Manager and Asma Al-Mujaini - Head of Human Resource.
The week also provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with valued partners such as MIC-HUB, Zaha Hadid Architects, BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, CHYBIK + KRISTOF ARCHITECTS, tp bennett, and Primera while also igniting new connections with brilliant professionals like Jayne Moore from Moore Media, Mario Schiattarella from SCHIATTARELLA ASSOCIATI and Julia Capp and Gérald Sellier from RDAI — sparking the beginning of promising collaborations rooted in shared ambition and visionary design.
A particular highlight was our team’s meeting with Eng. Ibrahim Al Waili, Executive Director of the Oman National Spatial Strategy, alongside the Greater Salalah Structure Plan and New City Salalah team from MoHUP: Dalal Al - Lawati - Project Manager, Asila Al Busaidi - Technical Lead, Dana Ziad Al Haremi - Technical Lead, Shatha AL-Mazroui - Urban Planner. From the F&M side: Hazem Abdul Karim CEO & Managing Partner, Shveta Amarnani – Project Manager for Greater Salalah Structural Plan, Husam Al Makdami- – Project Manager for New City Salalah, Chris Bloodworth - Head of Infrastructure and Ammar Al-Saleh – Project Coordinator — an inspiring exchange around two significant projects aligned with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
We are especially grateful to our entire team — from technical experts to marketing and business development professionals — whose dedication and energy made this such a week truly meaningful.
